The Archives of African American Music and Culture invites you to join us on 𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟑𝐫𝐝 at 𝟔:𝟑𝟎𝐏𝐌 for 𝐉𝐚𝐳𝐳 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧: 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐌𝐲 𝐕𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞, a concert celebrating the legacy of Black women in jazz.

This concert presents a celebration of Black Women in jazz featuring three phenomenal vocalists, New York City's rising star Ekep Nkwelle, and Indianapolis' premier songstresses Sandy Lomax and Brenda Williams. Nkwelle will be accompanied by Internationally acclaimed pianist Luther Allison,. Lomax and Williams will be accompanied by an all-star band from Indianapolis, led by bassist Bill Myers, former President of the African American Jazz Caucus, Inc. Other musicians include Cassius Goens (drums), Kevin Anker (keyboard), Steve Weakley (Guitar), and Clifford Ratliff (trumpet). It is FREE admission and appropriate for all ages. Get there early as seats are limited!
