Kurt Tong + Patrick Wack | Opening Reception
Pictura is proud present the work of Patrick Wack and Kurt Tong and the Grand re-opening of the Gallery. Patrick Wack’s project, Out West, focuses on China’s westernmost region, Xinjiang as the “New Frontier.” Kurt Tong’s photographs from Zhongshan and Guangzhou explore the lands of his two ancestral lines, one strongly affiliated with the sea the other with the land. Both projects use the geographical landscape to examine individual identity and cultural identity.
