Poltavaland is a long term project about a cherished creative region in Ukraine, a place with a mysterious atmosphere and unusual concentration of talented people.

Viktoria Sorochinski photographed the region of Poltava, where her grandmother was born, between 2019 and 2021. The project portrays caretakers of the culture in a peaceful Ukraine and an authentic lifestyle which will most likely change forever due to the ongoing Russian invasion.

Poltavaland opens FRI 2/6, with an opening reception from 5-8pm and an artist talk at 6pm.
