We believe that art is an important tool for a child’s development, physically, emotionally and culturally.
Our children’s programming aims to provide opportunities for kids to engage with fine art and to respond to it through their favorite creative tools and techniques. We also hope to find ways to encourage curiosity and exploration of a variety of art forms through workshops and crafts, all free to the public!
During the recent stay-at-home orders, we’ve asked kids to send us their creations to exhibit at Pictura Gallery. Some of the work has been created during quarantine or as a response to quarantine, while other work is from workshops we have hosted in the past. Most recently, we’ve asked kids to share their protest work in response to the issues of racism and police brutality. We hope you enjoy this work!
